Hear & Tell

Word ~ Prayer ~ Missions... 2012!

I guess stuff like this happens more often than I realize. Because we would run into stories like this ALL the time in Uganda.

We just came across a huddle of huts and ran into Vincent. We were able to spend about an hour with their family. They wanted to hear about the HIV/AIDS info we had - and payed very close attention - we asked if they wanted to hear another message from another cube (we used a cube for both HIV & Gospel).

As we shared the Gospel using the EvangeCube - again they payed very close attention even amidst breast feedings and whiny babies, (and wrestles kids too: )

They ALL said - yes I want to pray with you and ask Jesus to forgive me of my sins. We did and it was a great time.

Vincent went on to tell us that his dad left their family and moved to 'the city.' Shortly thereafter his mom died, and he buried her about 10 feet from the front door of his house. So obviously he sees the grave daily.

We talked together about forgiveness and about forgiving his dad. It was a very touching, sad and happy time. At first Vincent wouldn't smile as he stood next to the grave of his mom.... then he took this picture:
